Payouts

Automatically track payouts, no matter how you choose to pay creators.

Say you pay every creator $5 a week, plus $20 when a video passes 1M views. Set that up once and you’ll see what each creator is owed every period. Then pay them from trackagoat, or pay your usual way and mark it paid.

A month’s earnings by payout structure, and a balance marked as paid.

Set it up once, then see what each creator earned every period.

  1. Make a payout structure. Pick Recurring, Goals-based, CPM, View Thresholds or Conversions, and set the terms.

  2. Assign it to creators. A creator can have more than one, like a base fee plus a CPM bonus.

  3. Periods close. Each creator’s earnings are worked out from their posts, views, goals and conversions.

  4. Pay them. Send it from trackagoat through your connected payout account, or pay another way and mark it paid. Either way there’s a record with the amount, date and method.

How each payout structure calculates.

Every structure pays in US dollars and can count all of a creator’s platforms, one platform, or one account. Only tracked posts count toward it.

  1. Recurring

A fixed amount every period, with no conditions.

Pays the same amount each day, week or month. If a creator joins or leaves mid-period, you choose to skip that period, pay a pro-rated share, or pay it in full.

    amount × each period

  2. Goals-based

Paid when the creator meets their goals.

Pays one amount per period when the rule is met: all goals, any goal, or a number of goals. With “All goals” you can also pay a share of the amount for partial completion, above a minimum you set.

amount, if the goal rule is met

  3. CPM

Paid per 1,000 views, for as long as a video keeps getting them.

Each period adds up the views the creator’s videos gained since they were last paid, then applies your rate per 1,000 views. Videos keep earning after the period they were posted in, forever or for a number of days you set. Up to 10 tiers, each band paid at its own rate, with an optional minimum and a cap per period.

new views ÷ 1,000 × rate, up to the cap

  4. View Thresholds

A one-time bonus when a video reaches a view milestone.

Set up to 10 milestones. Each video pays each milestone’s bonus once, when its views cross it. You choose whether milestones passed before the creator was assigned count.

    bonus × each milestone crossed

  5. Conversions

Paid for sign-ups, purchases and other outcomes you send.

Each conversion of the events you select pays a flat amount or a percentage of its value. Pay per conversion, or total them daily, weekly or monthly. Conversions come from your backend through the API.

flat amount or % of value × conversions

  6. Several at once

Give a creator a Recurring base fee, a Goals-based bonus and a CPM rate at the same time. Each one is worked out on its own and shows up as its own line.

See what you owe each creator, and what you’ve paid.

The payouts tracker lists every creator with what they’ve earned, what you’ve paid, what’s still owed and when they were last paid. Filter by date range, structure or campaign, and open a creator to see every earning and payment.
  • Partial payments. Pay less or more than the balance. The difference is recorded as an adjustment with a reason.
  • Receipts. Attach a PDF, image or spreadsheet up to 5 MB. Receipts are stored privately.
  • Payout methods. Venmo, Cash App and PayPal are built in. Add your own methods and choose a preferred one.

Payouts guide

Recorded payments don’t change.

If a post shows up after a period closes, unpaid amounts are recalculated. A payment you recorded stays exactly the way you recorded it, and if late data affects it, it’s flagged for you to look at.
  • Versions. Editing a structure’s terms saves a new version. Earnings already worked out keep the version they used.
  • Void, don’t delete. Voiding a payment returns its earnings to unpaid and keeps the record.

Export payouts to CSV.

Download a tracker summary, every payment or every earning, filtered the same way as the page. Each creator’s own earnings and payments export too.
  • Tax forms. trackagoat doesn’t produce tax forms. Your payout provider handles any tax reporting for payouts sent through it.
