Which one fits.

Both track accounts by public URL, both can pay creators, and both connect to coding agents over MCP. Shortimize covers more platforms and keeps more videos updating for the price. trackagoat is built TikTok first for teams that love coding agents: every plan, Free included, gets the same API and MCP server with no add-on, and it also tracks photo posts and carousels and has five payout types instead of three.

Pick trackagoat if

  • You want your coding agent to use the whole API, with no add-on, on any plan including Free.
  • Your creators post carousels or photo posts as well as videos.
  • You pay on goals or conversions, not only base pay, milestones and CPM.

Pick Shortimize if

  • You need YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Snapchat or X.
  • You track thousands of videos on a small budget.
  • You want Slack or Discord alerts and app revenue integrations.

The main differences.

Each one says what trackagoat does and what Shortimize does. Shortimize’s side comes from its public website, checked October 10, 2026. The “API, MCP and agents” section was checked again on October 11, 2026.

API, MCP and agents.

trackagoat

Every plan gets the same REST API and hosted MCP server, with 125 tools and no add-on. Free allows 200 requests a day, Starter 1,000 and Ultra 50,000.

Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients can sign in with OAuth, so you don’t have to paste a key into each one.

More:Connect over MCP

Shortimize

Basic API access and the MCP server come with every paid Shortimize plan, and you connect with an API key.

A Premium API add-on at $150 a month adds access to all your data, higher rate limits and webhooks.

Photo posts, carousels and platforms.

trackagoat

trackagoat tracks TikTok videos and photo posts, and Instagram Reels and posts, including carousels.

Carousels count toward goals and payouts like any other post.

More:What’s tracked on Instagram

Shortimize

Shortimize focuses on short-form video and doesn’t track images, carousels or stories.

It covers more platforms: YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Snapchat, Sora and X as well as TikTok and Instagram.

Payout types.

trackagoat

Recurring, CPM, View Thresholds, Goals-based and Conversions. Edits save a new version of a structure, so earnings already worked out keep their terms.

If a video shows up after a period closes, unpaid amounts are recalculated and payments you’ve recorded stay the same.

More:How payouts work

Shortimize

Weekly base pay, milestone bonuses and CPM, and Shortimize says there are no other bonus types.

Base pay can be weekly, per video or on a custom schedule. trackagoat’s flat payouts are per period.

Both send money. Neither adds its own fee.

trackagoat

trackagoat pays through your connected payout account, and the provider charges its usual fees.

trackagoat doesn’t produce tax forms; your payout provider handles tax reporting for payouts sent through it.

More:Paying creators from trackagoat

Shortimize

Shortimize pays creators through Contra, which charges 2% plus $5 per payout batch and handles tax forms in 180+ countries.

Grouping and goals.

trackagoat

Campaigns can hold creators, single videos and other campaigns, and a video that’s in there twice counts once.

Creator Goals show who’s On Track, Behind Pace or At Risk for posts, views, engagement or followers gained.

More:Creator Goals

Shortimize

Shortimize groups accounts into collections, which can be nested and shared by link. Its site doesn’t list posting goals per creator.

Where Shortimize is better.

trackagoat doesn’t do everything. These are the things Shortimize does that trackagoat doesn’t, or does more of.

  • More platforms. Shortimize also tracks YouTube Shorts, Facebook videos, Snapchat, Sora and X videos. trackagoat tracks TikTok and Instagram.
  • More videos for the money. Launch keeps 1,000 videos updating for $99 a month, with unlimited accounts. trackagoat keeps 100 on Starter ($29) and 3,000 on Ultra ($399).
  • Paying creators worldwide. Contra pays creators in 180+ countries by bank, PayPal or crypto and handles their tax forms. trackagoat pays in US dollars through your connected payout account and doesn’t produce tax forms.
  • A flat amount per video. Shortimize’s base pay can be weekly, per video or on a custom schedule. trackagoat’s flat payouts are per period.
  • Faster refresh. 1-hour and 4-hour data refresh are available as paid add-ons. trackagoat checks for new posts every 12 hours on paid plans (up to every 4 hours on Ultra).
  • Alerts and integrations. Slack and Discord milestone alerts, plus Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog and Superwall. trackagoat’s notifications are in the app.
  • Sharing and billing. Collections can be shared by link, and yearly billing is cheaper. trackagoat’s paid plans are monthly and set up by email for now.
